Accessibility Statement

We build this site to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, published by the World Wide Web Consortium). It is the standard U.S. courts and regulators most commonly reference for public-facing websites.

We describe this as the standard we work to rather than one we claim to have fully achieved. No site of any size is permanently free of accessibility defects, and a blanket claim of conformance would not be honest. Where we fall short, we want to hear about it and fix it.

Accessibility is part of our definition of a finished change, not a pass we make afterward. Every change to this site is checked against the following before it ships:

• Semantic structure. Real buttons for actions and real links for navigation, with page landmarks so assistive technology can skip to the main content.
• Labels on every form field. Every input in the booking flow has a programmatically associated label, so a screen reader announces what it is asking for.
• Keyboard access. Every interactive element can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, in a logical order, with a visible focus indicator on the element you are on.
• Colour is never the only signal. Status, errors and progress are carried in text as well as colour. Our booking progress indicator, for example, announces each phase, its name and whether it is complete — it does not rely on a colour difference.
• Contrast. Text and interface colours are chosen to meet the WCAG AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text).
• Meaningful alternative text on images that carry information, and empty alternative text on images that are purely decorative, so they are skipped rather than announced.
• Reduced motion. Animations and transitions are suppressed for visitors whose system asks for reduced motion.

Stating this plainly is more useful to you than a clean bill of health:

• We have not commissioned an independent third-party accessibility audit. Our checks are internal.
• We have not verified this site against every combination of screen reader, browser and operating system.
• Parts of the booking and payment experience are provided by third parties — most notably our payment step, which is handled by Stripe. We do not control their interface, and their accessibility is theirs to state. If the payment step is where you get stuck, call or email us and we will take the booking ourselves.
• Documents or content we publish through third-party platforms may not meet the same standard as this site.

You never have to use this website to rent from Cherokee Crate. Call or text us and we will arrange your rental directly, including delivery address, dates, package and payment. There is no extra charge for booking this way and you will be quoted the same rate card.

• The page address where it happened
• What you were trying to do
• The browser, device and any assistive technology you were using

Send it to hello@cherokeecrate.com or call (470) 851-6059. We aim to respond within 3 business days, and we will tell you what we found and when we expect to have it fixed. If a fix will take time, we will offer you another way to get what you needed in the meantime.

If you are not satisfied with how we have responded, you may contact the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division, which enforces the Americans with Disabilities Act, at ada.gov/file-a-complaint. We would rather resolve it with you directly, and you are always welcome to come back to us.

We review this statement whenever we make a substantial change to the site, and at least once a year. The effective date at the top of this page tells you when it was last revised.
